Sciatica Massage Therapy
At Cast Away Therapies we provide a massage therapy that will help alleviate your sciatica nerve pain and heal your sciatica. Massage therapy is the best way to loosen up tight lower back muscles that may be pinching or irritating the nerve. A massage will also release pain fighting endorphins providing relief from symptoms such as throbbing pain in your foot or a burning pain in your leg.
Sciatica Exercise Therapy
At Cast Away Therapies we will work with you to teach you several sciatica exercises to strengthen both your abdominal and back muscles in order to strengthen the back and offer greater support. The exercises will be a blend of stretching exercises to help regain flexibility and strengthening exercises. These exercises will need to be practiced four to five days a week for at least 30 minutes. While we are always here to help you, these exercises can even be practiced in the comfort of your own home.
Without proper exercise the back muscles and spinal structures will become weaker and deconditioned which can lead to back injury or strain. The movement helps the nutrients and fluids travel within the spine more efficiently making you feel healthier. In fact proper movement and exercise will relieve more pain then sleeping will.
